Kifune Shrine, Kyoto.
Only on snowy days from January 1 to February 29, the shrine will be lit up beautifully at night.
The winter in Kyoto is very cold, but this light event will definitely warm up the hearts of people visiting there!

京都、貴船神社。
１月１日から２月２９日まで、雪の日限定でライトアップされます。
京都の冬は寒いですが、このライトアップが参拝者の心を温めてくれるでしょう。

Futamigaura Coast

Bungo Futamigaura Coast, Oita Prefecture.

On the Bungo Futamigaura coast, there are a couple of rocks named Meoto (wedded) Iwa (rocks). The big braided rope which connects the two rocks is the largest in Japan and was registered in the Guinness Book in 1994. You can see the first sunrise of the year over the sea.

大分県、豊後二見ヶ浦。
夫婦岩と呼ばれる２つの岩を見ることができます。
２つの岩を繋ぐしめ縄は日本で最も大きなもので、1994年にギネスに登録されました。
ここで見る初日の出は素晴らしいです。

Yuzu Bath

Tomorrow, Decmber 22 is Toji, the winter solstice of 2015. The day has the longest night and the shortest day.

In Japan, there's a custom of bathing with yuzu ( a kind of citrus fruit) on Toji.
The yuzu bath is called yuzuyu, or yuzuburo, and it's believed that taking a yuzuyu guards against colds, makes your skin smooth, warms up your body, and relaxes your mind because of the strong aroma and the oil from its skin.


明日12月22日は2015年の冬至です。
日本では柚をお風呂に入れる習慣があります。
これはゆずゆ、またはゆずぶろと呼ばれ、風邪をひきにくくなったりお肌をきれいにしてくれたり体を温めたり、気持ちをリラックスしてくれると言われています。
