Gaisen-sakura Street in Shinjo Village, Okayama Prefecture.

137 sakura (cherry blossom) trees are lined alongside the street.
And there are water streams on both sides of the street, and the soft murmur of the stream makes the people walking there feel so relaxed!

4 years ago on this day, a massive earthquake hit the north and east coasts of Japan. And it was followed by the devastating tsunami.


15,891 people were dead.
2,584 people are still missing.
3,222 people were dead after the disaster.(because of the disaster)
228,863 still live as evacuees.

４年前の今日、東日本を大地震が襲い、その後破壊的な大津波に襲われました。

１５８９１人の方か亡くなり、
２５８４人の方が行方不明
３２２２人の方が震災関連で亡くなり、
２２８８６３人の方が未だ避難生活を強いられています。
